SYNOPSIS
An
innocent man took the fall by admitting to a crime (murder) that his
girlfriend committed. While he is serving time in prison she cheated
on him and married a chaebol (rich man). He is devastated and took
revenge by dating the chaebol's daughter.
Kang
Maru (SONG JOONG KI) is a third year medical student who has a bright
future ahead of him, and loves his girlfriend Han Jae Hee (PARK
SI-YEON) very much. Han Jae Hee is a young, beautiful news reporter.
One night she called Kang Maru to help her get out of trouble. He
came running to her even leaving his sick younger sister behind only
to find out she accidentally killed a man. They are both flustered
and because of his love for her that he took the blame. Six years has
passed and Maru's life is somewhat in the ruins while Jae Hee married
a rich chaebol and have a son with him. Maru and Jae Hee will meet
again on an airplane when Seo Eun Gi (MOON CHAE WON) collapsed and
needed first aid. Since there is not one doctor on site, Maru
assisted Eun Gi and there he found out about Jae Hee. He decided to
approach Eun Gi to spite Jae Hee and make her jealous, not realizing
that he will fall in love with Eun Gi for real. This is where the
story begins.
REVIEW
This
is what dramas are about – love, lies, deceit, murder – you name
it this drama has it. Felt like a Shakesperean play with all the
plots and twists. I was at the edge of my seat every episode. I'm not
a fan of heavy drama and would rather watch Song Joong Ki on a
light-hearted romcom but I was hooked ever since the first episode.
